Treat the Overworld as a menu, not a level. If a puzzle resists you, walk another direction and come back with fresh eyes; the game explicitly builds for this.

DOSSIER
What this entry covers
The Overworld is the realm the player is transported into. It is a sprawling central hub with no single correct route: from the starting point, four paths branch out across the cardinal directions. Fog covers the map until puzzles are solved, and clearing Gold Rooms physically welds realms together, expanding the hub far beyond its starting shape.
PROTOCOL CHAIN
How to work this entry
Watch the fog edge. Every puzzle you clear pushes the boundary back and exposes geometry that was not previously visible.
Do not try to finish a realm before moving on. Abilities earned elsewhere are frequently the intended solution for a puzzle you left behind.
Return to the hub after each Gold Room. The merge changes what the central space itself can do, not just the branch you came from.
